Pizza and hambak are on Wachi-ro, with tables toward the water. Cockles are at Olbareut, nearer the water. Tteokbokki is Donald, and eomuk is Samjin. They do not add up to one afternoon.

Window tables fill at lunch. A few kitchens stop taking orders in the late afternoon.

The crust stays soft when it is still warm. Salsiccia Bismarck is sausage with an egg on top. Sauce or cream on the crust edge is better than a dry end piece. The pasta gets salty by the last bite. There is a soup of the day, useful on a wet day. The window faces the water. The chairs are hard, and the narrow room gets warm by the open kitchen. Book the window if people are waiting.

Hambak and curry, in a big room over the harbor. The plain patty is beef and pork. Egg yolk and sauce make it soft. The cheese one is heavier. Udo peanut hambak smells like peanuts, and the patty can be dry. Rose chicken is only a little spicy, and the thigh meat is tender. Rice, pickles, salad, and kkakdugi come with it. Kids are fine here. Sauces can stay on the side.

Cockles and beef jeon take up the table. The cockles are chewy and not buried in salt. Rice and seaweed make them filling. Beef jeon is soft. Onion on top cuts the oil. The windows face the water. There is room for a family, and meal time can mean a wait.

School-snack food. The tteokbokki sauce is sweet, then a little spicy. The rice cakes stay soft, and the fish cake takes on the broth. Jjolmyeon picks up the sauce and stays chewy. Add an egg. The yolk takes the edge off the red sauce. Noodles and ramen make the pot bigger than it looks. Bbeong cream is a cold finish, sweet, with a rice-cracker crunch. There is no fried rice at the end.

It smells like fried eomuk and oil before the counter. People point at trays, and staff box them. The croquette is crisp outside and soft in the middle. Warm pieces bounce. Cool ones do not. It is lighter than cheap street eomuk, less flour aftertaste, more fish. Gift boxes are easy to carry. There is a place to eat across the way.

Pork soup is heavy on garlic. The pork cutlet is large, crisp at the edge, soft inside, and the sauce is sweet. Cold noodles are clean on a hot day. Jjajang is dark and smoky. Seafood jjambbong tastes closer to a spicy beef soup than a thin broth. A small tangsuyuk still has enough crunch to share. The room is wide, and a stroller fits. One person can order soup and another can order cutlet.

Yeongdo Myeonok has soup, noodles, and pork cutlet on one menu.
