Cheese, Katsu, Harbor Pizza

By Minjae · What's Up Korea Story

Cheesy seafood, crisp tempura, soft katsu, and harbor view pizza all fit Nampo in different ways.

This set has four separate Nampo meals. The mood shifts from late night drinking food to katsu, tempura, and a brighter harbor room near Gwangbok.

Tonshow can require a long wait, and Lua & Tigris gets easier with a reservation for window seating. Budan reads late night, but the portions can work as a full meal.

01 · Nampo

Budan Nampo Branch · 부단 남포점

Hours
17:00–02:00 · Fri, Sat to 04:00
Last order
01:00 / 03:00

Budan Nampo Branch feels built for a full table, with plates that are heavier than ordinary bar snacks. The cheese webfoot octopus and shrimp has bouncy shrimp, melted cheese, and a spicy octopus pan that keeps the meal moving. The grilled bread with cream is simple, but it helps between spicy bites. The gray and wood room feels calm enough for table conversation, and the menu has enough range for a group that wants chicken feet, noodles, and seafood on the same table.

02 · Nampo

Ton Black & Tempura Nine · 톤블랙&텐뿌라나인

Hours
11:30–21:30 daily
Last order
21:00

Ton Black & Tempura Nine is easiest to like when the fryer is sharp. The anago tendon brings eel, shrimp, and seaweed with a sweet salty sauce, while the cheese katsu stretches in a way that makes the plate feel generous. Some fried plates can lean oily, so a simple tendon or cold soba with shrimp stays cleaner. The room is casual and fine for a solo lunch, and staff feel kind without slowing the meal.

03 · Nampo

Tonshow Nampo · 톤쇼우 남포

Hours
11:00–21:00 daily
Last order
20:00

At Tonshow Nampo, the hire katsu is the reason the wait builds. The pork stays moist and soft, and the Berkshire K tenderloin has a clean finish despite its rich look. Salt works well before sauce because the meat already has enough flavor. Corn soup gives the meal a small sweet start, while kimchi helps keep the katsu from feeling heavy. The room is narrow, quiet, and limited in seats, so conversation stays close.

04 · Nampo

Lua & Tigris Gwangbok Branch · 루아앤티그리 광복점

Hours
11:00–22:00 daily
Last order

Valet

Lua & Tigris Gwangbok Branch is the most open room in this set. The wood fired pizza has a crisp rim and a soft middle, with cheese that tastes full rather than greasy. Yongdusan pizza is the house name to notice, and pasta here keeps a springy noodle texture. Family tables make sense because the room has space and the pasta can stay mild.

For Nampo, choose by appetite rather than by distance. Spicy shared plates, a tempura bowl, quiet katsu, or a harbor view meal all make sense on separate nights.
